Get free benefits advice with Disability Rights UK
We’re working with Disability Rights UK to support up to 150 tenants who need a little extra help navigating their way through the benefits system.
Disability Rights UK (DR UK) will help any Habinteg tenant with or without a disability to get help with claiming benefits, focusing on maximising your income, rather than minimising your expenditure.
Habinteg’s Income Recovery team are making referrals and we will continually monitor the outcomes from each case referred to measure the effectiveness of the service.
In addition to the benefits advice service for tenants, DR UK has also trained members of our Neighbourhood and Income Recovery teams on recent benefit changes, including specialist information on housing benefit issues.
Speaking about the partnership, Disability Rights UK’s CEO Kamran Mallick said:
“We’re delighted to be working with Habinteg to help their tenants navigate the welfare system, as the system can be complex and often stressful. We aim to identify and maximise entitlement and uptake of welfare benefits, while minimising stress.”
