Regulate, Educate, Promote and Inspire: Habinteg’s roadmap for accessible housing
Six expert panelists from across the housing sector have contributed to a roadmap to deliver
accessible housing in the UK.
Drawing on the Habinteg Summit 2022, the report outlines an approach to breaking down seven barriers to accessible housing.
In his forward to the report, Eddie Hughes MP, a former departmental champion for disability and Minister for Homeless People and Housing at the Department for Levelling UP, Housing and Communities, said: “Having an appropriate and accessible home can make a huge and positive impact on the lives of disabled people and their families.
"I hope that this report, the output from the Habinteg Housing Summit, will help you to understand the challenges and barriers to delivering accessible homes and, in doing so, help you consider what role you can play in developing solutions."
