Our 2023/24 stock condition programme
Habinteg is conducting a survey to look at the age and condition of 60% of its homes between 4 September and 1 March 2024.
We’re working with Ark Consultancy to check the age and condition of the inside and outside of Habinteg homes across all regions. We’ll use the results to set our plans for long term replacements and improvements, and to see how much money we’ll need to set aside for it.
What’s involved?
We’ll be looking at the condition of roofs, walls, ceilings, floors, doors, heating appliances, kitchens and bathrooms in your homes.
The results will be used to identify when and where homes and schemes will need planned works. Through the stock condition surveys we’ll also be looking at what we can do to make your homes more sustainable and accessible. It will also help us to check that we know about any equipment we need to service as part of our health and safety requirements.
Each survey visit will take around 20 minutes and will be carried out on Mondays to Fridays between 8:30am and 5:00pm.
How we’re doing it
In this first phase, between 4 September and 1 March 2024, Ark Consultancy will be surveying approximately two thirds of Habinteg homes and communal areas.
But, please don’t worry if you’re not contacted this time around, we’ll be surveying the remaining Habinteg homes by September 2024.
As surveyors won’t be able to advise when works might take place or be able to help with any immediate repairs, if you should require a repair at your home, please report it in the usual way.
Getting access to your home
An Ark Consultancy surveyor will contact you if they wish to access your property, and your help would be very much appreciated by granting them access. All surveyors will carry an official Habinteg photo identification on them. If they do not show it to you, be sure to ask for it, before allowing them access into your home.
