Local neighbourhood events

Brookdene Lodge tenant engaging with Habinteg staffYour Neighbourhood Managers and Coordinators organise events to give you the space to share what’s important to you about your local area.

These events include annual scheme meetings, coffee mornings, social events and drop-in sessions. Any tenant can attend these events.

These events and meetings help decide on priorities for the neighbourhood, which are then put into local neighbourhood plans.

Tenant meetings and events take place at all schemes, apart from areas with dispersed homes. Here, local staff will most likely engage by phone or email.

Find out what’s happening in your area by contacting your Neighbourhood Manager.

We also hold Regional Tenant Listening Events, which any tenant is welcome to attend, and the opportunity to represent tenants in your community.

Local neighbourhood events in 2024/2025

Throughout the year, 126 scheme meetings and events were held, with strong tenant support and participation. These activities included:

  • Bingo nights
  • Warm spaces
  • Social get-togethers
  • Litter-picking days
  • Community garden events
  • Defibrillator training

Neighbourhood Teams also conducted numerous scheme meetings, events, and walkabouts across the country to gather tenants’ views and priorities. These insights are captured in each of the 34 Neighbourhood Plans issued to date.

A schedule is in place to review each plan and issue the remaining plans during 2024/25.
