Save up to £159 per year on your TV licence

If you watch live TV or use an online streaming service like BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub or All 4 to watch live TV, you need to be covered by a TV licence, which costs £159 a year.

Over 75 and receiving Pension Credit?

If you’re 75 or over, blind or live in residential care, you could be entitled to a free or reduced TV licence.

If you're 75 or over and receive Pension Credit, you're entitled to a free TV licence each year.

Those aged 75 or over living in a residential care home, may be covered by an Accommodation for Residential Care TV licence and may not need to buy an annual TV licence, even if they don’t receive Pension Credit.

If you’re registered as blind or you live with someone who is, you could be eligible for a half-price TV licence. This would bring the cost of your annual TV licence down to £79.50.
