Photography competition- what could you do with £150?

Are you a great photographer? Can you capture the spirit of your community? Then this is a great opportunity for you to win some money.

We’re looking for photos that show your scheme’s summer spirit, the vibrancy of colour and excitement.

‘My Scheme in Summer’ is the theme of this photography competition and the winner will get £150 worth of shopping vouchers and three runners up will each receive £50 in vouchers.

Want to enter this competition?

This is what you have to do:

  1. Take photos of your neighbourhood or community this summer
  2. Choose up to five photos. Each must be at least 12 megapixels
  3. Send them to as full resolution jpegs.
  4. Don’t forget to include your name and address so we can contact you.

We will publish our favourite photos on Instagram ( including your name and scheme. We’ll announce the winners, with their photos, in the next edition of our quarterly Update newsletter. If you have any questions, email us at and we will do our best to answer them.

Do I need to follow any rules?

As with every competition, there are rules to be followed:

  • Entry to the competition is free
  • It is open to all Habinteg tenants over the age of 13
  • You must have taken the photos yourself
  • All photos must be at least 12 megapixels to qualify
  • You can edit or retouch as much, or as little, as you like
  • Your photos remain your property. By entering the competition, you give permission for Habinteg to use your photos in the media, social media and print publications. Your moral rights are not affected. This means we will always credit your photo with your name and you still own the rights to the photo
  • If your photo includes people, you must have their written permission, which must be included with your entry. Please download our photo consent form [doc] 70KB, fill it in and email it back to
  • Prizes will be paid in shopping vouchers
  • The judging panel’s decision is final.
