New Editorial Panel helps shape tenant communications

Our brand new tenant Editorial Panel has had its inaugural meeting to support Habinteg in strengthening how we communicate with tenants.

The panel of eight Habinteg tenants has been set up to help us ensure that we communicate accurately and clearly and that you can get all the information you need, when you need it.

Our Editorial Panel members will meet quarterly to provide feedback and input to the information we share on our website, and in our printed and digital materials. They will regularly look at:

  • the most recent edition of our Update newsletter – it’s strengths and areas for improvement
  • plans for the content of future editions of Update
  • our Annual Report to Tenants, giving feedback on its content and design to help shape the next report
  • our fortnightly digital bulletin, suggesting content that tenants may like to see more of
  • our website, particularly the pages and materials for tenants.

Editorial panel member and tenant Sampson Willoughby from Cornwall said:

I’m really happy to be a member of the editorial panel and I’m excited to be on board to help shape Habinteg’s tenant communications into 2021 and beyond.

The Editorial panel is co-ordinated by Habinteg’s Customer Engagement Officer, Tracy Jagger and chaired by Head of Communications, Christina McGill. Christina said:

Having tenants involved in our work, is central to the way we work at Habinteg. The new Panel members have already provided some extremely helpful insight and interesting new ideas. I really look forward to working with them more to make sure we give tenants more of what they need and want from our communications.

We’d like to share more of your local stories

At our first Editorial Panel meeting, the panel members told us that they feel tenants would like to read more about what’s happening in Habinteg schemes across the country.

Do you have any stories you’d like to share about something good that’s happening/happened on your scheme or a local hero you’d like to recognise during the Covid-19 pandemic?

We’d love to include more local stories in Update and our e-bulletin. If you have a story you’d like to share with us, please email our Communications team at comms@habinteg.org.uk.
