In celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee | Tenant news

It’s the Queen’s 70th year in service and there’s a host of festivities planned for a special four-day bank holiday weekend from Thursday 2 to Sunday 5 June 2022.

There’ll be public and community events taking place across the country as well as national moments of reflecting on the Queen’s 70 years on the throne.

The Big Jubilee Lunch

The Eden Project Communities is encouraging us to get together and share food, fun and friendship with our neighbours at the Big Jubilee Lunch.

If getting together for you means sharing a cuppa in your garden with your neighbours or hosting a party for the whole street, visit edenprojectcommunities.com/the-big-jubilee-lunch for a free starter pack for inspiration.

Street party

If you're thinking of organising a street party that’ll mean closing your street to traffic. You’ll need to get permission from your local council in advance. 
Visit gov.uk/organise-street-party to apply for permission.

Alternatively, there are ways that you can hold a street party without needing to close your road. Check out streetparty.org.uk/guide/street-meet for more information.

Tenant Led Improvement Budget

If everyone on your scheme agrees, you could use your 2022-23 Tenant Led Improvement Budget to fund some of your activities. Discuss your ideas with your Neighbourhood Manager and complete the form.
