Housing Ombudsman recruiting for new Resident Panel – apply now!
At Habinteg, we strongly believe that the voice of tenants must be listened to, and that’s why we’re pleased to share this great opportunity for tenants to work with the Housing Ombudsman Service’s new Resident Panel.
The panel
The Ombudsman is searching for around 100 tenants from a cross-section of English social housing landlords to form the panel which will help inform their corporate plans.
The members will be drawn from different sizes and types of landlords registered with the Ombudsman. Membership will be refreshed regularly.
The panel will initially meet online twice a year. There’ll also be opportunities to work on focussed activities in smaller groups and to use your experiences to help the service develop other areas of work.
The Ombudsman
The Housing Ombudsman is a non-departmental government body set up to look at complaints about housing organisations that are registered with them.
The service is free, independent and impartial and resolves disputes involving social landlords' tenants and leaseholders.
Apply now
The deadline for applications to join the Resident Panel is 25 February 2021 and the first virtual meeting has already been pencilled in for 23 March 2021.
