Habinteg provides new repairs solution for tenants in north | Tenant news

A new company, Plentific, will be used to handle repairs and maintenance for our tenants in the north of England from Friday 27 June. 

Plentific, which is already successful in the south east of England, connects housing providers with local contractors, making repairs faster and more efficient.

The platform will serve over 1,000 homes from Birmingham to Liverpool and the north east, offering plumbing, electrical, plastering, carpentry, and major component replacements like kitchens and bathrooms.

Tenants will continue to report repairs through Habinteg Direct by calling 0300 365 3100 or emailing direct@habinteg.org.uk -  or the My Habinteg portal.

Russell Grainge, Director of Assets, said: “We’re focused on improving the repairs service in the north. As always, tenants have been consistent with their feedback, and we’ve listened.”

“ The success of Plentific’s current service for Habinteg in the south east, shows it has the capacity and capability to deliver the required services across the North also , in line with requirements set by the Regulator for Social Housing. ”

Tenants on the Joint Strategy and Impact Group (JSIG) and Scrutiny Panel have been involved throughout the process and will continue to help shape the service in the North.

Plentific’s performance

Scrutiny Panel member Kevin Cusack, who is a Habinteg tenant in the south east, said: “ Since Plentific took over, things have changed for the better. Now, when I report a repair, I get a call from the contractor, a text confirming the appointment, and often another message nearer the time.

“Best of all, all my recent repair jobs were completed in one visit on the same day. Plentific has delivered an impressive improvement.”
