Our Customer Engagement Manager Ann Johal provides support and development to our involved tenants to maximise their contribution, and ensure that our tenants are at the very heart of service delivery. Read on to find out the strangest thing she’s been asked by a tenant and which of three well-known brands gets customer engagement and service right.
How many tenants do you talk to in any given week?
On average I would say between 10 to 15 tenants a week.
What’s the thing that tenants are most concerned about when they talk to you? Repairs and community safety.
What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever been asked by a tenant?
If I could travel to any year in a time machine, what year and why? I chose 2012 because I got married and we went to Thailand for our honeymoon.
What’s the nicest thing that’s happened to you as part of your role?
Being continually supported by kind colleagues and tenants here at Habinteg. Special shout out to Tracy Jagger and Kerry Thompson. Thank you.
What’s the most unexpected thing that’s happened to you as part of your role?
Nothing so far…
If you had to be CEO of Habinteg for one week, name three things you’d do?
- Advocate the importance of the tenant-landlord relationship to staff,
- EMT and board members switch places with our customer-facing staff, it would be an eye-opener for all,
- No meetings day across Habinteg the only exception being meeting with tenants.

I wouldn’t, I love my job!

A new bag or shoes!
What do these people all have in common and who would you say had the most engaging personality: Jennifer Lopez; Frank Sinatra, Joan Collins; Kenny Rogers.
Well, they are all famous ‘showbiz’ singing and/or acting. The most engaging personality has to go to Joan!

Where does the name Habinteg comes from? Our name, comes from the Latin phrase habitat integrans, or ‘integrated housing’.
