Join our #ForAccessibleHomes campaign

Habinteg's Day of Action takes place on Friday 8 September to raise awareness of importance of accessible housing.

Our award winning #ForAccessibleHomes campaign is back for its second year and there are lots of ways for you to get involved and support our Day of Action on Friday 8 September.

We’re aiming to increase participation in the campaign and build a broad coalition of support to demonstrate the crucial impact of accessible homes to politicians, policymakers and the public. We would like to see government, local councils and property developers recognise the importance of accessible homes and to increase the number of Part M (4) Category 2 (inclusive, adaptable) and Category 3 (wheelchair standard) homes that are built.

By sharing your stories and the voices of our tenants, staff and supporters across the country, we will raise awareness about the importance of accessible homes in the weeks leading up to our Day of Action.

There are a number of ways that you can get involved. We would be delighted if you could:

  • Tweet your support using the hashtag #ForAccessibleHomes
  • Join our Thunderclap to support our message on the Day of Action
  • Take part in our photo campaign on social media
  • Produce a short video clip or blog in support
  • Generally spread the word to you friends, family, colleagues and contacts/

For more information on how you can get involved as well as the background please download our supporter pack here.

You can also contact our communications team if you'd like to find out more about partnering with us to support the campaign.
