Habinteg housing association is delighted to announce that Sheron Carter has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of the organisation.
Sheron, who has been the Chief Executive of Gateway Housing since 2011, will replace Steve White, Habinteg’s interim Chief Executive.
Sheron will join the 3200 home housing provider in early 2018. She brings with her over 30 years’ experience in the housing sector, having worked for housing associations across the West Midlands and London, two as Chief Executive.
Speaking of her appointment, Sheron said "I am so excited by this opportunity to join Habinteg. It is a truly unique organisation with a social purpose to be proud of. I am keen to build on Habinteg's success in campaigning for and developing much needed accessible homes and communities."
Habinteg’s chair Manny Lewis said "Our mission to champion inclusion by providing and promoting accessible homes and neighbourhoods is imperative to the future of housing, and having a strong leader at Habinteg’s helm will ensure we can continue to do sector-leading work around accessibility and inclusion. I am delighted to have secured an experienced and well regarded CEO from the sector who is equipped to take forward the delivery of the organisation's ambitious strategy."
