How to apply for housing
Thank you for expressing an interest in applying for a Habinteg home. In this section of our website you’ll see a list of all of our housing schemes and whether the waiting lists are open or closed.
If the waiting list is open, you will be able to fill out an application form to be added to that waiting list. An open waiting list only means that an area is taking applications, not that there is a property available.
We maintain these waiting lists as a way to match suitable people to our properties. However, the best way to apply for any social housing is to go through your local authority Choice Based Lettings service. Once you have been added you will be able to bid for properties with local social housing providers including Habinteg.
If you have any questions or would like further information please contact us.

Who can apply?
There are no restrictions or criteria for who can apply to be placed on our waiting lists for accommodation, however, please note dogs and cats are not allowed in flats. Of course, we make an exception for trained assistance dogs i.e. guide and hearing dogs.
Applications will be accepted, providing that the waiting list is open and that we have suitable properties.
How our waiting list works
We do not operate a point system. We operate a banding system to prioritise applications and will allocate on the basis of priority of need.
When will I know if my application is successful?
We will respond to your application in writing once it has been processed. Please be aware that if a suitable property becomes available, we will contact you immediately.
