- Habinteg's A.G.M. a resounding success!
- The combined difficulties of the heat-wave and a burst water main at Hammersmith did not deter guests from this year's A.G.M. which took place on Wednesday night. Habinteg's Board Members, Leadership Team and special guests including Roy Irwin, Chief Executive of the Audit Commission, Baroness Chapman, Lady Barbara Bossom and Bryan Dutton, Chief Executive of Leonard Cheshire, assembled to review Habinteg's progress throughout the last year and the continuing mission ahead. Mike Donnelly?s message: ?We?re still here to change the world?.
Guest speaker Dr. David Bonnett RIBA joined Michael Holyer and Mike Donnelly at the podium to present 'Moving on from Special Needs Housing', a short history of inclusive housing policy and design in which he defines Habinteg's future role within the sector (plus hints towards world domination).
Both Mike?s speech and David Bonnett?s presentation will be available for download very soon, so watch this space. In the meantime, they can be requested from Sam Longbottom. Thanks to everyone who attended, and everyone who helped to organise the event.

- What is the Hub?
- To be perfectly honest, we chose the name ?Hub? because it?s short, snappy and begins with an ?H?. However, delving a little deeper, calling it the Hub really does describe exactly what it?s for. The Oxford English Dictionary defines ?hub? as:
? The effective centre of activity;
? A network device that allows the sharing of information; or
? The central part of a wheel from which spokes radiate.
Your Hub will enable you to find out exactly what?s going on inside Habinteg. Our aim is to make it the main internal communication channel. So please, take part. The more you use it, the better it will be.
Happy Hubbing!
